Been a member of this website for an amazing 20 years now and have enjoyed uploading all kinds of stuff here over the years. I started out making customised themes for Stardock's ObjectDock, back when 90% of the stuff on this site was about desktop customisation. The site was a creative outlet for me at a time when I didn't really have any other avenues to express myself in.
From there I moved into creating wallpapers, initially abstract stuff I knocked up in Cinema 3D and later vexels made by tracing round photographs in Photoshop. You can find examples of 'em in my gallery - my oldest upload dates from 2002 - but I've deleted about 75% of the stuff I put on this site because I couldn't bear to look at most of it.
In 2005 I finally got my own digital camera (a Canon G6 Powershot) although I wasn't completely cameraless before then because I used to review them for magazines like Stuff. Anyway - I loved that Canon and it served me well for about four years until one morning it committed suicide and refused to ever turn on again. So instead I turned to my iPhone, initially the 3GS and later on the 4 - both of which I used to take candid street photos.
Then my wife bought me a Canon DSLR - the EOS550D and I was a very happy chap. This awesome camera has enabled me to start taking the kinds of photos I've always loved - landscapes mainly - the more colourful the better. I've since upgraded to the Canon 7D Mark II. I live on the east coast of Australia, a few minutes from the Pacific Ocean and so the ocean figures heavily in my gallery, as does sunshine!
