Another big upload dump. Really should get into the habit of submitting these the day I upload 'em everywhere else, but for some reason I always forget. Then I check my Stash folder where the images get uploaded automatically and there's like 20 uploads. So - sorry about that. Thanks for all the cool comments :)
Hole in the Wall
Goooooood morning Vietnam, sorry, I man Facebook. How are we all? We're well into autumn here in south coast NSW and the deciduous trees are wearing their autumn finery. I haven't been out leaf-peeping yet because I never seem to have much luck with that - I usually end up driving around the southern highlands for hours and only ever find the odd lonely tree and not some majestic avenue stretching off into the horizon like a scene from Game of Thrones. Ah well, I've always got the beaches. And what a beach Hole in the Wall is - one of Booderee's little secrets, hidden in plain sight. It never gets the same traffic as somewhere like nearby Green Patch or Murrays for the simple reason that it's a 300m walk down the hill and folks don't like lugging all their beach stuff that distance. Those of us who do make the effort are richly rewarded however and if you choose to stick around until sunset, you might see something like this.
Sailors Beach
Alrighty then, Thursday is here and with it a new photograph from the sprawling collection of Andy Hutchinson. Today we travel to Sailors Beach in Hyams Beach and a classic view out to the heads of the bay at sunrise. Watching the colour spread across the sky never gets old and is often complimented (on this beach at least) by the dolphins swimming past.
Camel Rock
Happy Wednesday team, hope you had a great long weekend (if you live in Australia) and if you're one of my international friends, happy hump day to you! Here's a shot I took down at Camel Rock near Bermagui on the beautiful Sapphire Coast. The sun was rising just behind the main rocks and I took a long exposure to smooth out the waves and get a saturated sky to show off all those amazing cloud colours.
Murrays Beach
Monday monday, sounds good to me. Probably sounds good to a few other folks too who may or may not be taking a long weekend. Anyway, if you drive to the end of Booderee you will get to the Murrays Beach car park. And if you get out of your car and walk about 300m up the bush track you'll come to Murrays Beach itself. And if you stand there, when the sun's shining, it looks something like this.

Been a member of this website for 15 years now and have enjoyed uploading all kinds of stuff here over the years. I started out making customised themes for Stardock's ObjectDock, back when 90% of the stuff on this site was about desktop customisation. The site was a creative outlet for me at a time when I didn't really have any other avenues to express myself in.

From there I moved into creating wallpapers, initially abstract stuff I knocked up in Cinema 3D and later vexels made by tracing round photographs in Photoshop. You can find examples of 'em in my gallery - my oldest upload dates from 2002 - but I've deleted about 75% of the stuff I put on this site because I couldn't bear to look at most of it.

In 2005 I finally got my own digital camera (a Canon G6 Powershot) although I wasn't completely cameraless before then because I used to review them for magazines like Stuff. Anyway - I loved that Canon and it served me well for about four years until one morning it committed suicide and refused to ever turn on again. So instead I turned to my iPhone, initially the 3GS and later on the 4 - both of which I used to take candid street photos.

Then my wife bought me a Canon DSLR - the EOS550D and I was a very happy chap. This awesome camera has enabled me to start taking the kinds of photos I've always loved - landscapes mainly - the more colourful the better. I've since upgraded to the Canon 7D Mark II. I live on the east coast of Australia, a few minutes from the Pacific Ocean and so the ocean figures heavily in my gallery, as does sunshine!
Just uploaded a collection of my photos of the Jervis Bay bio-luminiscence over at Flickr. Have a look if you've got a minute :)
